Heads was my second collaborative release with Chris Phinney (Mental Anguish). Actually started before Usufruct, this was a mail collaboration - tracks recorded July 1989 to March 1990. I sent two-track synth recordings on cassette to Phinney via the U.S. Postal Service - he loaded my sounds onto his 4-track cassette recorder, added his own synth sounds, and mixed it down on March 18, 1990. Icy cold drone-based abstract minimalist analog synthesizer explorations. Phinney on Korg MS20, ARP Axxe, and Moog Rogue synthesizers, Engineering, Mix; McGee on Moog Rogue and ARP Axxe.
